The Nutcracker
With colourful full costumes and the original Tchaikovsky score, your dancer will be loving learning and performing our very own version of this exciting, timeless ballet.
From dramatic toy soldiers, to elegant dancing snowflakes, to the magnificent Sugar Plum fairy, our production has ALL of the magic!
This unique experience is across 3 days (2 weekends):
December 6th 9:00 - 1:00
December 7th 1:00 - 5:00
December 13th 9:00 - 6:00 (bring a packed lunch; light afternoon dancers' tea and snacks provided)
The show is at 6:30 on December 13th
Open for dancers aged 4.5 and up (Primary upwards)
The Nutcracker Story
The Nutcracker Ballet is a magical holiday story that takes place on Christmas Eve. It was composed over 130 years ago by a composer named Tchaikovsky and is famous for its beautiful music and amazing dances. In the story, a young girl named Clara receives a special Nutcracker toy that comes to life at midnight. Together, they go on an adventure through a snowy forest and visit the Land of Sweets, where they meet the Sugar Plum Fairy and other delightful characters. The Nutcracker Ballet has been performed all over the world and is loved by kids and adults alike for its enchanting story, colourful costumes, and joyful holiday spirit!

*please note, regular ballet lessons finish the week before we start rehearsals.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Every participant will get to learn and dance in at least one part in the ballet

The group will be organised by age so each dancer will work at a level that is right for them

On the final day you are invited to come and watch a special once-ever performance of The Ballet.

Costumes will be provided, and tickets for the performance are free.

Dancers will need their ballet tights, shoes, and leotard.
LUNCH
Please bring along a healthy packed lunch, plus a water bottle. We have a strict no-nuts policy.
On the day of the show there will also be a light tea provided.
CAN'T MAKE ALL THE DATES?
If you'd like your dancer to attend for just two days, that's no problem! Just specify when booking which days you want. Please bear in mind that the bigger parts will go to those attending the most.
