This year, we're taking it to a real theatre stage!
The Nutcracker
For the first time, our Nutcracker is moving out of the ballet school and onto a real theatre stage. On Sunday 6th December your dancer will perform at The Arundel Centre in Highgate, a purpose-built performing arts theatre - complete with professional stage lighting, a theatre crew and its own box office - in full costume and to the original Tchaikovsky score, with family and friends watching from the audience. It's a once-in-a-lifetime chance for your child to experience the magic of a real theatre show - the kind of memory they'll treasure for years.
From dramatic toy soldiers, to elegant dancing snowflakes, to the magnificent Sugar Plum fairy, our production has ALL of the magic!
This unique experience runs across October half term and early December:
October 26th, 27th and 28th 10:00 - 3:00 (bring a packed lunch each day)
December 5th 10:00 - 3:00
December 6th at the theatre 10:00 - 2:00 (light tea for dancers provided)
The show is at 5:00 on December 6th (finishing by 6:00) at The Arundel Centre, Highgate
Open for dancers aged 4.5 and up (Primary upwards)
The Nutcracker Story
The Nutcracker Ballet is a magical holiday story that takes place on Christmas Eve. It was composed over 130 years ago by a composer named Tchaikovsky and is famous for its beautiful music and amazing dances. In the story, a young girl named Clara receives a special Nutcracker toy that comes to life at midnight. Together, they go on an adventure through a snowy forest and visit the Land of Sweets, where they meet the Sugar Plum Fairy and other delightful characters. The Nutcracker Ballet has been performed all over the world and is loved by kids and adults alike for its enchanting story, colourful costumes, and joyful holiday spirit!

*please note, there are no regular ballet lessons on any of these days as they are during half term, or the term will have already finished.

Price includes rehearsals, costumes, a light tea for dancers on show day, and taking part in the performance. Tickets for the show will be available from the theatre box office closer to the time.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Every participant will get to learn and dance in at least one part in the ballet

The group will be organised by age so each dancer will work at a level that is right for them

On Sunday 6th December, family and friends are invited to watch the show at The Arundel Centre in Highgate.

Costumes will be provided. Tickets for the show will be available to buy from the theatre box office.

Dancers will need their ballet tights, shoes, and leotard.
LUNCH
Please bring along a healthy packed lunch, plus a water bottle. We have a strict no-nuts policy.
On the day of the show there will also be a light tea provided.
CAN'T MAKE ALL THE DATES?
To take part, your dancer needs to attend at least two of the three October rehearsals, plus both December days (the 5th, and show day on the 6th). Please bear in mind that the bigger parts will go to those attending the most.
All rehearsals are £89. If your dancer will miss one of the October days, it's £79 - just tell us which day when booking. You can pay using the links below. Price includes rehearsals, costumes, a light tea for dancers on show day, and taking part in the performance.
